Volkswagen Golf R | Basic Sound System Upgrade with DSP
Model: Volkswagen Golf R 2018 with standard sound system
The revolutionary car audio upgrade from Audiote Fischer works absolutely perfect with all VW Golf series, especially the ones made after 2010.
The installation itself is very simple and does not require any modification on the new vehicle at all.
Original Setup:
The VW’s original car audio system included:
- The basic 8 speaker sound system with the front and rear 2-way components
- With passive crossovers, powered directly from the head unit.
- No amplifier
- No subwoofer
- Far from fun

The connection to the car stereo is done from behind the radio unit in the glove box. The impact on the car is absolutely none, a perfect solution for any new VW model.
New Setup:
The new car stereo system installed by Soundtech included:
- DSP Amplifier – MATCH PP-62DSP
- Subwoofer – MATCH PP 7E-D
Car-Specific Harness & Adapter
The new amplifier has been neatly placed under the passenger seat with no visuals of any cables. The 2,6m long harness that comes with the DSP Amp contains all the wires for this installation that are protected in a knitted sleeve and it looks like VW factory made.
After the installation process, the sound got tuned in and instantly became much more alive and natural. The difference is really remarkable, especially given the fact that the speakers were not replaced.
